Hello everyone i need some help.

My version of SBS 2008 came with sbs 2005 installed as standard. I have a company commign to install specialist software on thursday and they need it to have sql server 2008 installed and running and accessible by all clients.

Now ive installed sql server 2008 on the server no problem as it comes with a licence to upgrade to it. But how can i check all the clients have access to it? Is there some kind of test script i can run or somthing to see if the clients have the right permissions to access the database?

Im sure its all stupid questions, but i cant find anything about SQL server in sbs 2008's group policy settings.

Also ive put on nod32 antivirus/firewall on the clients, is there any specific configuration required (i.e. port opening) for sql server 2008 to work?

Thank for your help
