| I have an app which I ideally want to authenticate as a pre configured domain service account. We have been advised by the vendor that this is not possible with their app. The best I can do is to get it to run as the machine name for the application server DomainName\AppServerName$My only other option is to use SQL Authentication.Are there any downsides to using the machine account? It is a domain account. I have simply never had an app run in this manner so it seems a bit counter intuitive to me.Thoughts?Comments? |
