After having listened to the tranquil ponderings of the Yak Oracle, I have some advice for all the little Yaks out there that hopefully will benefit our little herd.

1. Focus on SQL. That's what Yaks do best.
2. If a fellow yak pisses on your grass, walk away.
--There's plenty of grass for everyone.
3. If a yak wants to act like a jackass, let him.
--People don't come here looking for jackasses.
--They do come here looking for good Yak advice.
4. Stay calm. There isn't a lot of demand for an angry Yak.
5. Give good advice. Maybe you'll be a Yak Oracle someday. :)
6. Don't eat dead grass.
--There's too much fresh grass lying around.
--No sense in eating what happened yesterday.
7. Help out young Yaks, respect old Yaks, and mind your own business.
--It's just the Yak thing to do.

I have heard of this phenomenon call yak wisdom.

Does it appear only after 1000 Posts?

LOL

Good Point Derrick.

Then again there is the theory that you must stomp on a jerk before they become a bigger jerk.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh Yes That is the Dilemma... Grasshopper

Not true - I'm rarely out of work (more rrely than I'd like).

>> respect old Yaks
yes, yes, yes - and buy them beers (not you Damian - too dangerous).

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

There was a cellphone radio commercial in South Carolina that said "switching to ___ was the key to happiness. That and never standing on the left side of Yak. They don't like that."

I've never had a problem either. lol I was referring specifically to this little corral though. When you get out the great outdoors though, well then everything goes. :)

I knew I'd heard that somewhere (but I'm in Seattle). I thought maybe it was an Alaska Airlines commercial. They do funny/oddball ads like that all the time.
