It appears to be down again. I'm really shocked how stable that system is running on mySQL. (grin)Sorry, just couldn't pass up the jab.UPDATE:Now, instead of just going to a "this page doesn't exist" page, it gives this:There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser. An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists. We apologise for any inconvenience. That's so kewl. I guess a lot of sites are having problems with attacks today. Not sure if this is the case for SQLTeam but might be the case for their ISP.Tara |

You can just say "Hi" all by your own self! I do drop by here now and then just to see what's brewing.I've been so busy trying to cope with work/home/etc lately that I haven't had much spare time for the forums. I'm trying to keep up at least basic perusal and reviewing threads that I've posted in, but I'm not spending any significant time on them right now... I just don't have it.Running up a box with Linux and a browser is a good idea in my opinion. You can use one of the lightweight browsers and get pretty decent performance from even a small-ish box. The use of Linux will keep the adults off of it (because it doesn't run Windoze), but the kids learn so blasted quickly that you run the risk of getting them hooked on it!-PatP |

I'm thinking that would confuse the puppy, annoy Microsoft, and get you a visit from the RSPCA. Altogether a bad plan in my book.-PatP |

The message says they are down for maintenance and upgrades. Maybe they are fixing the updates from the last upgrade. OK. The glass ain't getting any more full than that. ;-) |

Hmm... So this is where everyone hangs out when dbforums is down lol. Brett, I haven't seen you around lately what's up, you get banned lol?Oops, just saw the other thread. dbforums is a pretty explicit & provocative site. I can't believe my company hasn't blocked it either. |

You could pretty much shoot a cannon in the other corral, but not get anybody's attention much less hurt them. It just ain't the same without you, bubba!-PatP |

Actually, a few of us got together and got Brett's company to block DBForums because he was two-timing us. But seriously, Brett, with as much as you post here, I'm shocked you have time to post anywhere else. Just think how much farther you could be, you might even catch Rob if you weren't splitting your time.-----------------------------------------------------Words of Wisdom from AjarnMark, owner of Infoneering |
