Anybody out there used the bundled Crystal Reports package with VS.Net? If so maybe you can help me. I created an aspx page with report viewer control. When the page renders I end up with about 4 inches of white space to the left of my report which forces the user to scroll to see the whole thing. I can't figure out how to remove the white space, the size of the report viewer control doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. I've been staring at this white space so long I'm starting to hallucinate... I now see a Business Objects (the makers of Crystal) programmer standing there giving me the finger.

Sorry man, I move to Active Reports .Net as soon as I learned about CR's licensing stuff a long time ago. They have since changed things, but I like AR.net. It has it's share of issues, but it's not Crystal.

Hey Justin,

You just need to adjust the right and left margins to .5in rather than 1in.

Thanks for the suggestion but that's not it. The start of the report is directly tied to the placement of the control on the page. If I move it to the middle of the grid halfway down the page then the report starts in the bottom quadrant. I initially thought it could have been related to the size of the control but it looks like that is indeed the problem. I was changing the size of the control (tried both declaratively and programmatically doesn't matter) but it always reverts to a size of 50px high by 350px wide. The report starts at the end of the control.

Perhaps you have a CSS style set that is throwing its position off?
