Does anyone remeber who that was and where?Anyway...what a great week....Stayed slopeside at Smugglers...and skiied in the rain on Monday...snow at the summit...thought It was gonna $uck big time...Trails were pretty much damaged from all the rain and fog...Went to Jay peek the next day...bluebird sky and 100% open...unfortunatley the tram and chairs to the summit were on wind hold...luckily we went up arounf noon...so we hung for a while...the wind died down and everything opened up.Because everyone split....and the rain sown in smuggs was all snow....I was skiing in a half a foot of untracked powder all afternoon....in moderate temps...40's...on April 5th!SweeeeeeeeeeeetWent back the nect day for first tracks....Temps got in to the high 60's...I got baked....Skiied hard all week...had the kids on everything...no woods though...lots a steeps and bumps...One trail did not go over well...Kitzbuhl? a little too tough with the double fall line...very steep...mashed potato bumps near the bottom...that was a mistake...the 7 year old got down no prob...my 89 year old had to kick off the skis near the bottom...did 75% though...went back with the 12 year old...very sweet trail when you can concentrate on a line...Damn, am I sore....Brett8-) |
