| As I slowly rack up the posts here at SQLTeam, I was wondering how you people get the little titles below your names. I know that the title "Starting Member" is probably based on my post count, but what about the ones like"SQL Gigolo""Funky Drop Bear Fearing SQL"I have looked in my profile for wehre I might find a place to put these, but I don't see them referenced in anyone else's profile, so I don't know.This seemed to be the place to ask, or maybe it isn't, but can ya tell me anyhow? |

My plan is that only people over 1,000 posts will get custom titles. This isn't a hard and fast rule but I'm going to try to stick to it. By the time someone gets to 1,000 posts we should have an idea of who they are and can pick out an appropriate title. There are people below 1,000 that have custom titles. I don't think you'll see that any more though.A person requesting a custom title for themselves will always find that request rejected (yes, I honored a few in the past -- quoth the raven, "Nevermore").Mike, maybe I should just change your title to "A Program"?  ===============================================Creating tomorrow's legacy systems today.One crisis at a time. |

| I love my new title too! And Fiendish SQL Riding Post Master General just doesn't have the same ring to it. I guess I'm eligible for a custom title now, but since no one else has my title, I think I'll stick with it for a while. Besides, I'm a little worried about what y'all would think would be appropriate for me... |

I doubt we'll ever go back to SQL related titles. I don't want people to assume from a title that a person has a certain skill level and place too much trust to much trust in their answer. Just getting back from holidays, I can finally get into some problems solving (ie, rounding up some ). I am eternally grateful for the title Graz has given me. But it's damn hard to try to get a word in when everyone is bangin' up to solve the next fan-dangled problem. Just as well there is a lot of people out there who needs help, coz here in SQL Team we are ready willing and able... Now I should probably not remind Graz that I was working on an article, but since I'm back in the swing of things I'll be right onto to it graz..   ==================================================World War III is imminent, you know what that means... I Cant Agree More on that.
