Something that setbasedisthetruepath said today set me a-thinking quote:
Generally speaking, SQL Server allows you to reference objects using a four-part naming convention:[server].[database].[owner].object
... so you can run an SQL statement on several servers/databases at the same time. Anyone know of the largest/most geographically distant example of such a statement? Maybe here at SQLTeam we have the resources to create the biggest, most distant, most utterly useless multiple table join of all time. Guiness book of records here we come..! |
