Tim was a wee starting member(or so he told us, each year in december)and though quite a withe was no laureate..."There can be only one" - please remember!!Hey Tim - reckon graz was trying out a new embed...what do you think it is? = highly ridiculous - as in " Solutions to the latest Yak challenge will be posted shortly
" = hope this rates - as in " there was young yak from seville...
or maybe - = humourous reply - eg " Stop now and avoid disaster
(so that certain poms don't think you have a contract out on them)?--I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money" |

dear scribe In the hallowed halls of King graz's domainThe concept of "one" is considered uncouthFor sqlTEAM is embodied in nameAnd many, not one, wield the truthYou sully your fair custom ornament With the singular view you espouse So I challenge you sir, to a tournament Where with rhyming lances we'll joust! ----Nancy Davolio: Best looking chick at Northwind 1992-2000 |

it gets better with each revision - but my response still stands - You think I got this name, accepting duels? I'm of the poets and not of the fools! I strictly adhere to lymmericks and beer Prithee good sir, tell me your rules!--I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money" |

Before you run off with elationAnd begin your poetic speculation...no fight can begin(at least none that you can win)without a clear specification!Name your Rules!(Hey - at this rate - this will likely last longer than a Aust vs England test match!)--I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money"Edited by - rrb on 12/09/2002 01:53:58 |

Dear Laureate, my rules! as lymmerick (sic) seems your normwe'll contest in fixed form my terms forthwith I confirm; a ballade from each bard a rondeau from each foe a triolet to complete my set and to give you voice a fourth of your choice (though I warrant the "lymmerist" knows not of one yet). in the thrust and parry all four must carry SQLTeam as the dominant theme. graz I appoint and those he anoints to conclude this feudas it requires a man of esteem. I further submit that form, style and wit if it pleasure be taken as measure. finally the wager suitably major we play for the soubriquetyou so treasure! PS, M.E. is the walkabout cafe still in the Inglewood district in Calgary? That's where we'll have that beer Edited by - tim on 12/09/2002 17:43:08 |
