Hi,

The post "Clustering through virtual server" http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=123294

Seems to indicate that it is possible to setup SQL Server 2005 using Microsoft VPC.

Has anyone already tried with Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008?

I would appreciate any link or tutorial. In case the concept works OK, is it recommended to implement clustering using Virtual Machines? Do you know of any production deployment using clustering on VM?

Thanks for any advice.

Server 08 running Server 08 in Virtual Server 05 for me was TERRRIBLY SLOW. Worked normally. But virtually unusable due to the slowness. Older machine (1.6ghz xeon)

I reccomend very high processor speeds if you want to try it. Never got to the sql part because of the speed.
