Job advert says: "I am looking for candidates who have worked in a lights on environment for large Blue Chip organisations, with proven experience working within environmets of 1000+ Servers"Why would anyone want lights on for 1000+ servers? Is this a test for a way for someone to respond to this job? This is my natural thought.Anyone tell me the difference between keeping the lights on / off? I don't get it. I'd find out when I start on the job. From my perspective, I keep all the lights OUT in the air-con rooms and do everything via VNC / Remote Desktop until I have to swap hard disks or entire racks... What else could it mean? Are they running a database on each user's desktop PC seperately? You tell me. I want to make a smart application and get this job in Canary Wharf |
