| i got an error SQL Server does not exist or access denied.(ConnectionOpen Connect())i had SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition installed on Windows Server 2003and SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition(Personal Edition) on Windows Vista..when i try to connect the SQL Server from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Vista,it is ok but when i try to connect from Windows Vista to Windows Server 2003 i got the error above.. |

| How are you conecting? SSMS? Integrated Security or SQL Login?Is it SQL 2000? Or SQL 2008?From the windows vista client:- ping the Windows 2003 Server. First with name, then with IP address.- connect using sqlcmd On the Windows Server 2003 - check the SQL Server ErrorLog. Are you auditing failed logins? Is there a error related to the failed login from the client? What is the state of the error message? |
