I just installed the SQL Server 2008 on new server.
I enabled the RemoteDacEnabled=True on SQL Server >Facet> Surface Area Configuration

But, i can not remote connect on this sql server. I put right server name, user name, and password.

I tried to connect this server from another SQL Machine using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

What error did you get?

Can you ping the server from your client machine?
Can you connect to the SQL Server locally?

Cannot connect to [sqlservername].

To connect remotely you dont need to enable remote dac

1. enable remote access under facets
2. set the port number and enable tcp/ip
3. check your firewall

4. restart the services

oh also did you enable sql authentication ?
