I have ordered a 5 CAL MSSQL 2008 standard edition licence.It won't be delivered untill next week.I need to install MSSQL asap on a brand new servr and get databases set up etc. It will just be a single instance.I have a Standard 2008 CD with Keys...from our Technet / MAPS suscription.Can I install using this CD...and when the proper media arrives, update the regkeys? |

The license key that you enter does not necessarily need to match the license that you purchased. As long as you document it, you should be fine.I use the same license key over and over again on all of my servers (over a hundred).
