Hi,

I have re-installed SQL Server 2008 client but the IntelliSense service is not working for me at all. I can see that its enabled in Tools menu and also enabled in the Query menu as well.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are you connected to a SQL 2008 server or to a lower level? Intellisense only works when connected to SQL 2008.

I have SQL Server 2008 client on my machine and I am connected to SQL Server 2005. Can't I even get the hints for opening and closing bracets etc stuff on my query editor?

No. Intellisense is completely disabled when connected to anything other than SQL 2008.

I can recommend a 3rd part tool that's way better than the built-in intellisense, but it's not free.
