Following post in another thread I am thinking about a script to check that a database is set up "in preferred manner"Is compatibility mode 100?Is page-protection set to CHECKSUMAre latest Service Packs in place...Before I spend hours writing one is there one lying around somewhere?Thanks. |

Thanks Russell. So there was a Best Practice Analyzer in SQL 2005 ... now replaced with a set of Policies ... not sure that is a forward step for generic reporting, but its food for thought, thanks.(Your second URL looks to have succumbed to Cut&Paste-itice ) |
