SP3+security update question

I applied the security update for SP3 (SQL2005). When I run the following 2 statements, I am getting 2 different results:

select serverproperty('resourceversion')
9.00.4035

select serverproperty('productversion')
9.00.4053.00

Does ‘security update’ update the resource database?

I installed the cumulative update version of that security hotfix. Mine shows 4262 as the build for both.

You should consider installing CU9 to be up to date with all of the security and bug fixes.
