I am new to SQL and really interested in it.
After searching this forum I decided to order the books;

1-Beginning SQL Joes 2 Pros: The SQL Hands-On Guide for Beginners and
2-SQL Queries Joes 2 Pros: SQL Query Techniques For Microsoft SQL Server 2008

While waiting for these books which will arive sometime in August 3rd. I am looking forward to suggestions and tips or onoline resources that can help me move forward in a faster pace.

I will also appreciate tips on how best and effective can I learn MS SQL.

Will appreciate your suggestions and tips.
Thanks in advance

Great choice :) What is your current skill-level? "New to sql" is a relative term...

If your at the very lowest of levels a decent place to start is w3schools: http://www.w3schools.com/sql/

New means I have never used it.
Needs to start from basics, don't want to hurry and miss certain things that will slow me later on.
