I am totally drawing a blank but if I recall there was a little know tool that was released with 2008 (?) that allowed you to point to a table and it would tell you all kinds of things about the data in it.

It would tell you how unique the data was in each column, what the max, average size of the data in each column etc etc

I read about it in an article how little known but useful things that were rolling out in 2008 and I remember trying it out once a year ago or so.

Does anyone know what I am talking about or am I delusional?

no thats not a seperate tool. This is an .exe that launches. You point to a datasource/database/table and are able to get some facts about it.

How unique each column is percent wise, shows the smallest and largest value in each column etc
