I've got a number (maybe 50) stored procedures which are stored in separate files and folders.Anyone have a good search mechanism to find all the procedures that contain specific text (e.g. a column name?)Sam |

The Windows Search facility lets you search specified folders and file types, and you can tell it to locate files containing certain text. It's on the Start menu. |

You want to find the create script, or they are already created? If they are already created, and you just want to know which ones contain certain text, you can query syscomments.-Chad |

I must've botched indexing or search service on this PC. It finds nothing in SQL files, no problem in DOC, XLS and other files.Sam |

Hi Chad,I'm more interested in a simple text search. The procedures are created and lying around on disk. Sam - Were that query analyzer would do a text search among files. |
