IN SMSS..Right click the server>properties>connections ..check the box which says "Allow remote connections to the server" Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. |

Errrmmmm, I think the OP meant in SQL 2005, theres the bloody awful SAC tool.. |

Same answer. SMSS is way better than SQL 2000 Enterprise manager.You can slso just execute[code]EXEC sys.sp_configure N'remote access', N'1'GORECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDEGO[code] Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. |
