I have SSRS (Sql 2008 R2) installed on a Windows 2003 server. I am trying to prevent the Domain Administrators from having access to the reports on the SSRS Server. How can I do this ?Thank you,AmcAmx |

Why would you want to? You can remove the group, but they could just add themselves back in. I ask again, why would you want to remove domain admins? |

I want to because my Domain Administrators are NOT SQL Reporting Server Administrators and the nature of the reports in SSRS have information that should not be available for them to see. Here is the interesting thing. They cannot access the reports BUT they can see all the departmental reporting folders and reports. It just allows them to access the reports they need.... but having the preverbial carrot held in front of them could make them try to find a way to get to the reports.I would rather make it so they cannot see the folders or reports unless they actually have rights to run them. |

If you don't trust your Domain Admins, get new Domain Admins that you can trust. |

The only way to prevent access is to put it on a machine that is not in the domain.- LumbagoMy blog-> http://thefirstsql.com/2011/02/07/regular-expressions-advanced-string-matching-and-new-split-function-sql-server-2008-r2/ |
