I have a database that I need to move from my sql express to someone else's local instance. the size is 3.41 MB how can i do this?

do a backup of yours, then a restore on the other instance.

yeah that's what i thought...can alternatevly use SQL server import and export wizard so i dont have to go to his computer?

Deattach the database and copy all files on the shared drive then attach back to your own instance and then attach the shared one on another server

you can stop the sql server service too then copy it and then start it again
