I am trying to install Adventureworks with SQL-Sever Express.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit on an HP i3 laptop. Everything is being installed on the laptop, no networks involved.

When I try to install AdventureWorks, I get this message: "Adventureworks OLTP 2008R2 - File Stream not enabled."

If this is something that I obviously need, why is not enabled? More importantly, how do I enable it?

I went to the configuration manager, but can not find anything about a "file stream."

No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die.

You can enable it by going to management studio ..you can download management studio for sql express 2008 in microsoft site. after logging into mgmt studio just right click on the database and select properties. There you can go to options and select filestream and click the check box you are good.

Dont take the horse for racing without riding it. some horses are mean and they drink lot of rum.
