Hi,
I am in the process of installing the sql server 2008 express on my windows 7 professional 64bit machine.
Everytime I download the downloads, the system says, it is not compatible with the operating system but I have checked the operating system requirements which seems to mach what I have...
Questions:
Can you please refer me to the downloads:
1-
Sql server express 2008 64bit on windows 7 pro machine
2-
sql server 2008 management studio 64bit for windows 7 pro

run msinfo32 on your machine to check if it's x64 or x86 (32-bits)
and download the msi from here
http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/en/us/editions/express.aspx

my machine is running xp pro 64bit and sql server 2008 express.
What difference does this make pls?
