Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the WMI SQL Server Administration provider is supported on default msde installations (no client tools) - can't seem to find this sort of info anywhere...

Thanks

Just read a little about it.....but why not use the client tools?

Is Window Management Interface rwally the right tool for the job?

Never seen it...still NT 4.0....getting there though.

Thanks for the response,

My app supports MSDE, I can't guarantee client client tools will be installed so would like to include restricted sql adiministration functionality - could always use osql but was looking at alternatives.

Anyone tried using WMI with MSDE?
