Anyone ever notice how many SQL Server forum sites there are? I now belong to three:

SQLTeam.com <= hands down favorite

SQL-Server-Performance.com

SQLServerCentral.com

Anyone know of any more?

experts-exchange
dbforums
yahoo groups freetechhelp
developersdex
msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups
gotdotnet

I visit these too (and the ones you mention) but sql team seems to be the best and I spend most time there.

I have all the help I need right here at SQLTeam.com.

In fact I often recive 2 or 3 different (but good) solutions to the same problem.

I have gotten more practical know-how out of reading this site than the hundreds of dollars I spent on books.

Thanks to Everyone here!!!

It's handy to browse through other forums occasionally to see if anything interesting is happenning and to find other ways of doing things (or what to avoid).
If everyone just used this forum we would miss a lot.

Thanks! One of my goals when I created the site was to provide a place where smart people could share ideas. I'm glad it seems to be working!

Always googling though...which usually lands me at another SQL site for a thread or article...That's how I found out what a reference to 'merry-go-round scan' was...

Great Site Graz!

Couple of other sites that are fairly good but they lose out by being too slow.

Gratz Graz.

O who, but for graz, could have guessed
When he started his lonely old quest
To fly his SQL kite
and create such a site
That it was to become the world's best?

For such is our SQL Team
It's the SQL "creme de la creams"
And just as-bloody-well
Coz when it comes to SQL
I always find it harder than it seems

I used to post at:
swynk.com
usenet
sqlpass
developersdex (also Usenet)
but then I realized that I was wasting time posting in places other then SQLTeam. Besides for the great people replying here, who really know their stuff, the response time here is superior to any forum I've tried. It probably helps that SQLTeam has such a global team, so no matter at what time you post, chances are someone'll be around to see it.

Yep, Gotta say I agree. I typically post here and here only for any SQL issues I got and have always had a quick response and usually more than 1 that advances my knowledge of SQL.
