My employer is interested in me becoming proficient in SQL so that I can develop and maintain databases. I am well versed in SAS and able to learn quickly. I have been doing some web searches, but have had a difficult time determining which training would be best. They are able to send me out of state if need be (I live in Oklahoma), but I thought I would ask other SQL users for thoughts and opinions of what may be the best route to take to learn and become proficient in SQL. Thank you for any help or advice you can give. HyunJee

For training - a number of companies can supply good quality training. More important , is to apply and maintain your skills. Self-study is an option - and depending on your level of experience - it's a viable route.Jack Vamvas--------------------http://www.sqlserver-dba.com

I am not sure if this makes sense, but if I see SQL code I can follow what it is doing, but cannot generate it myself. I do not know all the rules behind SQL code and am wanting to learn.
