Last week I purchased a book from Amazon titled 'VB .NET with SQL Server 2000'. Now I have to say that I have a lot of respect for Microsoft Products and I expected a lot more from their book, but it was very disappointing. It is not that the book is bad or anything but it did not provide me with what I was looking for. Before you ask, yes.. I did do some research before clicking the 'check out' button on the Amazon website, but the price I paid was definitely not worth it in my opinion. Therefore, can I suggest that some experienced members would kindly make some sort of list of recommended books?Perhaps I don't know what I am talking about but I just thought that it would be a good idea if some people could comment on their collection of books and why they found them useful etc.My favourite book at the moment has to be 'Professional SQL Server 2000 programming' by Robert Vieira as it has pretty much everything you need to know about SQL Server... and it does explain that GO is not an SQL command! Thanks for reading this. |

How aboutADO.NET by WROX press (if you can find a copy). Didn't wrox go out of business? There's plenty on ADO in ASP.NET Unleashed - my favorite .NET book of all time.SamEdited by - SamC on 06/27/2003 12:12:39 |
