I am looking for a good third party replication tool. On that is easy to use, setup and monitor. I know SQL has built in replication but I am looking for something better. Is there anything like that out there? The goal:A backup database that will provide the as current a backup of a database as possible. I want a second stand alone server, it could be a VM.

I wouldn't use replication for this. I would use mirroring or Availability Groups, depending on your SQL Server edition, requirements and configuration.Tara KizerSQL Server MVP since 2007http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

I agree with Tara, and will even suggest log shipping, unless you need near-instantaneous replication and/or automatic failover (anything up to 5 minutes of latency).I have used the SIOS Datakeeper product at a previous job:http://us.sios.com/products/...and had very good success with it. Without knowing more about your requirements I can't say if it's right for you, just that it's out there.Full disclosure: I have been reimbursed by SIOS for presenting my experience with their product.
