| i have imported a dts from sql2000.i have steps in the dts which activate bat and vbs files.the thing is that i need to run vbs and bat file on a server in the network with a share folder.when i try to do that and run the SSIS project it opens a dialog box instead of running the filewhat can i do?thnaks in advancepelegIsrael -the best place to live in aftr heaven 9but no one wan't to go there so fast -:) |

| SSIS project? did you mean you converted DTS to SSIS using conversion wizard? |

Was there any special reason for convertion? if possible, its always better to retain dts packages as it is if you can. Conversion wizard converts those tasks of dts to script tasks which it cant recognise which might not work as expected as architecture of ssis is quite different from dts.you can still maintain dts packages in sql 2005. see below for detailshttp://searchsqlserver.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid87_gci1251587,00.html |
