MS Access has this incredible tool [Spec] that allows me to upload from a text file into a mdb file template. This is a great tool. My problem with it is two-fold.1.) How can I copy spec from one table to another (as I can files and queries)?2.) Is there a way to create a spec by uploading an excel spreadsheet? It seems likely because as you build a spec, the format seems as if it is in indeed an excel sprteadsheet.Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!!Semper fi, XERXES, USMC(Ret.)------------------------------------------------------The Marine Corps taught me everything but SQL! |

There is a free addin called MZTools that allows you to work with Import/Export specifications - you can find it here:http://www.mztools.com/v3/mztools3.aspxYou can copy the specs from one database to another by checking the Import/Export Specs checkbox, which appears on the Import Objects form when you click on the Options button:File/Get External Data/Import - then select the source database, then click the Options button |
