If wish to work with several different databases (Access, Excel, SQL, MySQL) and to run Query, you have third party tools you can use, like this Query tool : [url]http://www.nobhillsoft.com/MarieAlix.aspx[/url]

Access will import Excel data without any code - from the File menu, choose "Get external data", then "Import" - change the "files of type" to "Microsoft Excel (*.xls)", browse for the workbook, then follow the prompts.

If you want to do it in code, look for "TransferSpreadsheet" in the help documentation
