HiWe are attempting to upgrade from SS2000 to SS2008. At the end of the installation we receive a message "your SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with. SQL Registry version is not the same as Server. Has anyone come across this issue before, and if so did you find a solution?Any help would be well appreciated.George |

Did you try to tun 2008 upgrade adviser on the legacy instance of sql server? If not, you might want to do that. |

Presuming you are doing an inplace upgrade, you can easily check the version in the Registry and see if its reporting the right value. Often, turns out someone instaleld the SP and did not reboot so the registry is not updated.Dinakar Nethi************************Life is short. Thanks Dinakar and shah for your help. It appears, at least right now, the problem was OS related. I will post to let everyone know as soon as I find out for sure.ThanksGeorgeGeorge |
