We recently installed SQL Serve 008, I recently installed Report Manager 2008. After a couple of days, RM 2008 has disappeared, although not 2005. I work remotely via a VPN and it went down for a few minutes yesterday. When I got back RM 2008 was gone.Any ideas how this can happen and how I can prevent this from happening in the future? |

OK what happened is that the Report Manager got placed into a "STOP" state. It just had to be re-started. Not sure how this can be prevented or not. ANy thoughts would be appreciated. |

AW, Check the logs to see what killed the process. I was following advice from here and edited a config file. I fat fingered without knowing. As soon as save and exit, server process stopped. Only cause was listed in logs.John |

Apparently, there was an agent object of the SQL Server 2008 that was in 'manual ' state and this was the problem. |
