Hi,I've build a new database (sql 2005 running in windows server 2003) from scratch and want to harden it. Patch all updates for windows server 2003, security configuration (is there a basic/default configuration for this, can't search for any), rename and disable 'sa' account, run MBSA, what would be the next step? And how will I know that I've already hardened my database? Can you give specific checklist?Addl info:Running in a domain. |

duplicate posts won't increase the speed of a reply - nor do "bumps" usually. having a person who knows how to help and is willing to help in this situtation is the only way to solve your problem. at the moment you may be very short of the latter. |
