I am doing some research on IO in SQL Server and was wondering if any of you knew whether there were any major changes between 2005 and 2008 that I should consider when reading Inside SQL Server 2005: The Storage Engine? I'm really only interested in a couple chapters. It looks like there is a lot of filler informtion in the book. Chapters 1 - 3 seem like the belong in a SQL Server 101 type book, not one at an internals level.

There weren't many changes. Some, for things like filestream, but not major.
Consider getting SQL Server 2008 Internals. Excellent book.
