Hi All,
i've a user database in dev environment. i need to setup a maintenance plan for this database to take Log backup for every 15 min without any retention period. can you please guide me in this regard.

Note :Zero days as retention period. it means take the log backup and delete the file.

thanks in advance

Just put a very high number in the plan. If you ever reach that date, then move your files to another directory. I seriously doubt you'll ever reach that date though.

My custom backup stored procedure allows unlimited retention, so you may want to try something like that instead.

I don't ever use maintenance plans, but they are pretty easy to setup so you shouldn't need step by step guidance.

Here's my custom script: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/archive/2009/12/29/Backup-SQL-Server-2005-and-2008-DatabasesAgain.aspx

The comment header block contains the documentation.
