Hi, I'm trying to get a non-admin domain user to have access as a system administrator in Reports Manager for sql 2008 r2 but I keep on getting User '<domain/user>' does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed. This user is accessing this from his XP SP3 pc and the Reporting Services is on a server. However, if I were to make this user a local admin on the server, that user will be able to access it without an issue. My issue is that I do not want to give local admin rights to this user but still wants him to access ReportsManager as a system administrator. Can someone please help? ThanksKen |

Have you given the user access within report manager under the two required sections? Also you may need to provide access within a firewall? If these could be issues, if you provide your email address I can send you a document on how to do these tasks. I have normally users accessing report manager over a domain without them having any special access. |

I found my problem. Thanks to Steve for pointing me to the right direction. I have forgotten to add the user role found under the "Folder Security" Tab on the home page. I've only added the system roles of "system administrator" hence my problem. |
