My company has purchased SQL server 2008 developer edition for me.
I have couple of machines for me in the office which are only used by me

would it be ok to ask them to install one license on two of my machines or is it any violation of the licenses

We use MSDN licensing to avoid having to license each product. An MSDN license is expensive, but it works out good if you support a lot of stuff.

Actually, I was wrong:
quote:
Each license of SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition entitles one developer to use the software on as many systems as necessary and additional developers can use the software by purchasing additional licenses.

Yeah that's what I had thought.

Our MSDN license covers everything we need (SQL, VS, ...).
