Hi,

First of all appologies if this is posted in the wrong part of the forum, you might understand why from my question.

I am looking to employ a young person and train them in the administration of a web based SQL application. The person I have interviewed and am considering employing has also indicated they would like to progess to software development in this field.

My question is what would be the best course to start this person on? I have seen courses advertised for SQL administration, would it be best starting with this? or is there a course such as introduction to SQL?

Could anyone give me some advice on the route I should take?

For the record the person I am looking to employ is 19 years old and has just completed a college course in computer studies, but none of it touched on SQL, small part covered software development.

Any help feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pete
