Hi all,

Greetings!

Just thought of creating a maintanence plan and when i right click on the maintanence plan under Management to select Maintanence Plan wizard,am getting the following error.

“Unable to execute requested command.
The action you attempted to perform on a remote instanceof sql server has failed because the action requires the sql sever component that is not installed on the rremote computer.to proceed, install MS Sql server management tools on the rempte computer abd then try again. for more info see…”

Also when i click on the Sql Server profiler am getting the following error.... "Profiler.exe-Application error. the application failed to initialize properly(0xc000007b).lick ok to terminate the application."

When I restart the server, am getting the following error-”Control service.exe-application error…..”

Help to resolve the issues

Thanks in advance.

Hello;

I had a similar error (but not exactly the same). I was also trying to create a maint plan.

To resolve it I simply installed SSIS (Integration Services). This service was necessary to configure a maintenance plan under SQL2005
