| WEIRD ERROR.I am new to Microsoft SQL Server. I have installed SQL 2008.Even when I start the SSMS with Run as Administrator, it asks me for a Server Name which otherwise gives me the error:SQL server 2008 error:40 testing the registered server failed, new server registration.I also tried to follow the steps to register new server name:View-> Registered Servers-> New Server Registration-> Entered New Server name to registerBut it fails to test :( Also the new Server does not turn green or i cannot start it manually. I also checked SQL Server Services, it is running in Configuration Manager. I need it solved, please help |
