How can I change servivce account for sql engine and sql agent? I created them as default now we want to assign a network service account instead? Is the changing procedure exactly same in 2005 and 2008? Reboot needed? |

If you open the SQL Server Configuration Manager, and under services select the service and on the properties page you can change the service account. It will need a restart afterwards though. |

And, you need to remove the SPN record that was created under the local account. If not, you will get SSPI errors when trying to connect using windows authentication.Jeff |
