I am oracle dba and trying to learn sql server, I am trying to install it on my labtop and is looking for some good source of on-line pictorial tutorials.is this the right software to install? or you suggest some other for hands on practice?http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2008/en/us/trial-software.aspx |

As well as installing the software, ensure you install SQL Server Books Online. It's not as good as the Oracle reference guide - but it encompasses everything you'll need to start learningJack Vamvas--------------------http://www.sqlserver-dba.com |

If you'd like to watch some videos and don't mind paying a little money, there are two companies called CBT Nuggets and Train Signal who have a very good set of videos.They are geared towards the Microsoft exams but they could provide a good intro for you. |
