Using ADO 2.8 lib, it seems I can only retrieve varchar(50). If I use varchar(max) nothing is returned. Anyone know of an alt data type that will allow me to beyond 50 char and still retrive via ADO?

Does varchar(8000) work? If you need something bigger, then perhaps text data type.

How big do you need it to be?
