Hi,
I hope you can help. I'm trying to install service pack 4 to my installation of sql server 2000 on a 32bit windows 2003 server. I've downloaded the English service pack and when I run the exe I get the following error.
"This service pack is meant for a different language than your installed product."
I've checked the registry and as far as I can see the language for my instance of sql is 2057 which I believe is British English. I've checked the language inside SQL Server and it also says British.
Can anyone help me out with this problem as I can't seem to resolve it.
Cheers, Glen

You may have already checked this page, but googling for that error message brought up this KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903003 |

Hi Sunitabeck,
I've checked this page but it doesn't really say anything helpful. I've checked these details and I can see what language is being used and I've downloaded the enu.exe and it still comes up with this error. I don't know whether this article is suggesting that I change the registry values from British english to us english?
