I have a .NET page that has a .NET header to cache the page on the server side for 300 seconds to avoid too much DB overhead (it does a big calculation).

A customer with IE 6.0 has TOOLS, OPTIONS, TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES set to "Automatic". He never gets a new page, it always comes from the temporary files cache on his PC. Troublesome. If it happens with one.....

Anyone have experience with this before? Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

Sam,
My understanding is the 'automatic' setting is the same as 'check everytime IE starts' with some page recognition logic added. Usually in corporate environments it is set to 'every visit to the page' - can you enforce this? I don't believe the server-side settings come into play here.

Check out Q263070 for more info on it.
