| I LOVE this stuff ... I'm already working on some fun formulas to evaluate seasons/careers ... very cool.Some favorites ---What is the best pitching season of all time? (factor in the league's averages that year )Same thing for hitting (i.e., 70 HR's in 2003 is not as impressive as 50 HR's in 1986)What if Ted Williams didn't loose 5 full years in his prime to serve in wars? (probably 650+ HR's, #1 all time in walks & runs scored)Why the hell isn't Jim Rice in the hall of fame !!??? hmmmm....baseball - that's that game that's a little bit like cricket only it doesn't last as long?<shakes head and sighs> --I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money" |
