Anyone else getting flooded with these?
There are a few different names - public bulletin, critical update, ...
I'm getting them every few minutes - about 150k each.
Apparently they are due to scanning forums for email addresses.
Looks like it is microsoft newsgroups that are targetted - just wondered if they were obtained from anywhere else.

The latest virus updates will catch them.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

I haven't received any. But we've got pretty good filtering software here. I usually only receive about 1 spam e-mail per week in my work e-mail address, which is the one that I use here.

Don't think they could get them from this site as the email addresses aren't available after a similar situation some time ago.

I started to get flooded with them and bounced mail messages to mail I did not send after I opened a support issue with microsoft. As soon as I replied to the support techs email, these things started showing up. Our AV stripper rips the virus out of the phony microsoft message but it does not block the message.

I got one yesterday in only one of my MSN hotmail account (I have two). I have no idea where I got it from, since I haven't subscribed to any newsgroups and this is the only Tech site I belong to.
